Western Alberta District RCMP news release

On Oct. 28, 2026, members of the Western Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit with assistance from the Fox Creek RCMP detachment, executed a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Fox Creek. The multi-week investigation centered around the distribution of various substances at the community level.

As a result of the search, RCMP seized:

• A sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun;

• Crossbow;

• More than $13,000 in Canadian and US currency;

• 300 grams of cocaine;

• 231 grams of methamphetamine;

• Over one litre of GHB, and

• Various amounts of ketamine, psilocybin mushrooms, suspected heroin, and other unidentified pills.

Christopher Leigh Doucette (45), a resident of Fox Creek, is charged with:

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking x 6,

• Possession of firearms/weapons/ammunition contrary to order x 3,

• Possession of a prohibited firearm,

• Possession of weapons for dangerous purposes x 2,

• Possession of proceeds of crime,

• Failure to comply with Undertaking conditions.

Jessica Hough (34), a resident of Fox Creek, is charged with:

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking,

• Failure to comply with Release Order x 2.

“Both individuals were the targets of an April 2026 drug investigation by our unit. At the time of this latest arrest, they were on active release conditions while awaiting court appearances for those prior charges,” said Sgt. Wade Oliver, Unit commander of Western Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit.

“Its deeply concerning when individuals who are already facing serious charges from a prior drug investigation choose to violate their conditions. Our unit remains steadfast in monitoring repeat offenders and ensuring they are held accountable to keep our communities safe,” continues Sgt. Oliver.

“Quantities of drugs such as this have an immediate and substantial impact on communities of this size. With such a variety of drugs found in one place, the RCMP reminds the public to exercise caution around recreational drug use as cross contamination can easily occur both intentionally and accidentally.”
