The Town of Fox Creek has completed energy efficiency upgrades at the Community Hall and Public Works Shop through the installation of new LED lighting systems.
The project replaced existing lighting fixtures with modern LED technology, reducing electricity consumption while improving lighting quality in both facilities. These upgrades will help lower the Town’s operating costs through reduced energy consumption while supporting its commitment to responsible environmental stewardship.
“Investing in energy-efficient infrastructure helps us reduce operating costs while improving the facilities our residents and staff rely on every day,” said Jaden Marshall, Director of Operations for the Town of Fox Creek. “These LED lighting upgrades are a practical improvement that will provide long-term savings while reducing our environmental footprint. The improved visibility in the Public Works Shop creates a safer workplace for our employees, and the Community Hall has never looked better.”
The project was completed with support through the Community Energy Conservation Program. The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre is a partnership between Alberta Municipalities, the Rural Municipalities of Alberta, and the Government of Alberta.
Grant funding for the LED lighting upgrades at the Community Hall and Public Works Shop was provided by the Government of Alberta and is expected to generate ongoing savings through reduced electricity costs.
